Entertainment and reporting in the past

Abstract: The paper is an attempt at approaching disco-clubs as a phenomenon of the 1970s and the unavoidable place for entertainment of the youth. By analyzing disco-clubs one gets insight into the culture of the young, their style of behavior and dress and musical taste.

Abstract: The paper describes the activity of the Educational Association Karadžić during the post-war period, i.e. 1945-1953. Structurally seen, its work consisted of two larger parts: the Educational Association Karadžić between 1945 and 1948, and the Educational Association Karadžić between 1949 and 1953. The paper deals with the structure of the Association's management and repertoire of its performances. Its statutes and its program during the period under scrutiny were also compared.

Abstract: The paper depicts the variola epidemics in Belgrade and in Serbia as seen by Dr Olivera Stojanović who took part in fighting the epidemics. Shown are the situation of the health-care system, media coverage and the reasons which caused the epidemics.
